Here’s the transcript:

Hey, everybody. I am here at the Maryland Seafood Festival happily eating my way down from booth to booth tasting all of this amazing food. But I wanted to share two great marketing lessons that you can learn from an event like this.

If you look at the food behind me, you’ll see that the line is the longest out of any of the booths here. Now, why is that? They have literally the same menu that every other booth has here, yet people are waiting in line 45 minutes for something they’ve never even tried before. That’s because the first marketing lesson is lines breed lines. When you come up to someone, a business, something that you’ve never done business with before, are you going to go where there’s a lot of people and it seems like it’s really great or go to a booth where there’s literally no one standing there? You’re just not sure why that is or if it’s great. So remember, lines breed lines.

The second marketing lesson and why they’re probably getting a lot of attention is they have the tallest booth here at the festival (height matters), which is great marketing because it gets attention and it’s drawing people over. So remember, lines breed lines, and when you’re in a place where you need to get attention, height is important.

Well, I got to go get some more crab cakes.
